Committing to writing daily

04 July, 2020 - 1 min read

What if I committed to writing daily?

If I want to improve my writing. Committing to writing daily seems like a good start.

I'm not writing for anyone in particular at this point, I have no 'audience' or readership. I'm not actively promoting my posts or writing anything that has any potential to go viral or boost SEO. So it's purely for practice and documenting the journey.

Wondering if I should set a minimum word goal but I don't want to train myself to waffle on and on to hit some arbitrary volume of words.

I would rather commit to writing something each day even if it's just a sentence, a thought or a quote. The habit and learning to be concise and entertaining with my words is more important to me.

I'm looking forward to reading back through these posts some time in the future and being horrified and amused at how bad this writing is. I'm sure I'm doing a lot wrong, too many commas, not attention grabbing enough, not interesting enough, not enough value etc etc.

Hopefully next time I'm reading this post I've figured it out!

Please sir, can I have some more?Media queries... shoot me in the face 🤬
