Continual learning as a developer

I've been working away at my first real developer job for a little over a year now. Recently I learned a valuable lesson. Namely It's important to keep studying and not get lost in the work.
In hindsight - I've felt like I was stagnating as a developer. Which is crazy. I still have so much to learn. But something happened where I was losing interest.
Recently I've returned to studying and my code is improving. Not only am I coding faster and with more confidence but applying what I'm learning else where has made it fun again.
So, I guess what I'm saying is. The next time you're feeling burnt out or maybe you're losing interest in the code you're writing. Maybe it's a good time to stop what you're doing and start studying a new concept.
It worked wonders for me.
More to come..
