The hidden cost of freelance writing
12 August, 2020 - 1 min read
After winning another freelance writing client (yay!) the hidden cost of freelancing has reared it's ugly head.
You see, when I'm quoting a new client on the work I have to deliver. I'm quoting them on the price of the work.
Not for the hours I'm going to spend communicating with them over the life of the project. Those hours are essentially un-billable... See what I'm saying?
If I'm going to continue doing this I'm going to need to streamline the communication with my clients.
This is where my head turns back to WaaS - writing as a service. It would allow me to streamline my client onboarding and systemise the entire process.
Could be cool.
More to come...
