Why delay the dream?

I've been working through my (long term) plan. (1) Get a good dev job (2) Build up a secondary income source - so I can get to work on my ultimate goal.. (3) Building an Indie game
I've been happy with this approach but over the weekend I was looking for something to do and I started playing around with a new game project in Unity.
I was really enjoying myself and I started to wonder why am I delaying building the game? Why don't I just get to work on it now and chip away at it? Piece by piece. So what if I can't go full-time on it.
So that's what I've done.
I've started 💀
I know I'm adding a lot to my plate at the moment with work and side projects but this feels like fun more than it does work so I figure that's ok.
Next up I have to figure out how I'm going to build and market this thing in public.
If I had a name for the project, I could be sharing it on it's own Twitter account. But as I don't have a name yet, it's hard to register a good twitter handle.
I'll try and lock something in so I can post in the next ScreenshotSaturday hashtag on twitter.
Let the games begin!
